Es Doctor por la <strong data-start=\"546\" data-end=\"572\">Universidad de Granada<\/strong>. Ha desarrollado su carrera investigadora a trav\u00e9s de programas competitivos del Instituto de Salud Carlos III. Entre otros, <strong data-start=\"696\" data-end=\"711\">R\u00edo Hortega<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"713\" data-end=\"730\">Miguel Servet<\/strong> y la estabilizaci\u00f3n <strong data-start=\"751\" data-end=\"779\">I3SNS \/ Nicol\u00e1s Monardes<\/strong>, que mantiene en la actualidad. Forma parte adem\u00e1s del <strong data-start=\"835\" data-end=\"876\"><span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">CIBER de Enfermedades Hep\u00e1ticas y Digestivas<\/span><\/span><\/strong>.<\/h4>\n<p data-start=\"879\" data-end=\"1268\">Su actividad cient\u00edfica se centra en la <strong data-start=\"919\" data-end=\"959\">investigaci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica y traslacional<\/strong> en <strong data-start=\"963\" data-end=\"983\">obesidad m\u00f3rbida<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"985\" data-end=\"1045\">enfermedad inflamatoria intestinal (enfermedad de Crohn)<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1048\" data-end=\"1090\">enfermedad hep\u00e1tica metab\u00f3lica (MASLD)<\/strong>. En la \u00faltima d\u00e9cada ha participado en <strong data-start=\"1130\" data-end=\"1158\">proyectos europeos H2020<\/strong>, una <strong data-start=\"1164\" data-end=\"1179\">COST Action. Tambi\u00e9n <\/strong>ha establecido colaboraciones internacionales con centros de Europa y Estados Unidos.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1270\" data-end=\"1603\">Es Investigador Principal de <strong data-start=\"1299\" data-end=\"1331\">cinco proyectos consecutivos<\/strong> financiados por el ISCIII y el Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovaci\u00f3n. Asimismo como de <strong data-start=\"1411\" data-end=\"1429\">seis proyectos<\/strong> financiados por la Junta de Andaluc\u00eda. Su investigaci\u00f3n en enfermedad de Crohn cuenta con financiaci\u00f3n internacional, nacional y regional, incluyendo ayudas del <strong data-start=\"1591\" data-end=\"1602\">GETECCU<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1605\" data-end=\"1963\">Presenta una s\u00f3lida producci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica con <strong data-start=\"1651\" data-end=\"1679\">m\u00e1s de 170 publicaciones<\/strong> indexadas en PubMed. Seg\u00fan Web of Science, cuenta con un <strong data-start=\"1737\" data-end=\"1755\">\u00edndice h de 39<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1758\" data-end=\"1780\">m\u00e1s de 4.800 citas<\/strong>, con la mayor\u00eda de sus publicaciones recientes en revistas <strong data-start=\"1840\" data-end=\"1851\">D1 y Q1<\/strong>. Ha dirigido <strong data-start=\"1865\" data-end=\"1890\">diez tesis doctorales<\/strong> y supervisa actualmente nuevas tesis, trabajos fin de grado y de m\u00e1ster.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1965\" data-end=\"2387\">Destaca su intensa labor de <strong data-start=\"1993\" data-end=\"2029\">formaci\u00f3n y liderazgo cient\u00edfico<\/strong>, habiendo sido investigador responsable de numerosos contratos competitivos de recursos humanos, incluidos <strong data-start=\"2137\" data-end=\"2154\">Miguel Servet<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2156\" data-end=\"2172\">Sara Borrell<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2174\" data-end=\"2182\">PFIS<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2184\" data-end=\"2199\">R\u00edo Hortega<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2201\" data-end=\"2222\">Juan de la Cierva<\/strong> y programas europeos <strong data-start=\"2244\" data-end=\"2266\">Marie Curie COFUND<\/strong>.
