Es <strong data-start=\"491\" data-end=\"521\">Catedr\u00e1tico de Universidad<\/strong> from <strong data-start=\"526\" data-end=\"577\">Departamento de Bioqu\u00edmica y Biolog\u00eda Molecular<\/strong> of the <strong data-start=\"584\" data-end=\"625\"><span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Universidad de M\u00e1laga.<\/span><\/span><\/strong> Desarrolla su actividad docente e investigadora en la <strong data-start=\"682\" data-end=\"706\">Facultad de Ciencias<\/strong>.<\/h4>\n<p data-start=\"709\" data-end=\"1042\">Su <strong data-start=\"712\" data-end=\"748\">l\u00ednea principal de investigaci\u00f3n<\/strong> se centra en el <strong data-start=\"765\" data-end=\"815\">metabolismo del nitr\u00f3geno en c\u00e9lulas tumorales. Todo ello c<\/strong>on especial inter\u00e9s en la <strong data-start=\"844\" data-end=\"884\">reprogramaci\u00f3n metab\u00f3lica del c\u00e1ncer<\/strong>, la <strong data-start=\"889\" data-end=\"907\">glutamin\u00f3lisis<\/strong> y el desarrollo de <strong data-start=\"927\" data-end=\"967\">estrategias terap\u00e9uticas metab\u00f3licas<\/strong>, como refleja su producci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica en el \u00e1mbito de la <strong data-start=\"1026\" data-end=\"1041\">cancer\u00f3mica<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1044\" data-end=\"1450\">Cuenta con una <strong data-start=\"1059\" data-end=\"1101\">trayectoria cient\u00edfica de alto impacto<\/strong>, con <strong data-start=\"1107\" data-end=\"1135\">m\u00e1s de 100 publicaciones<\/strong> en revistas internacionales indexadas. Presenta un <strong data-start=\"1187\" data-end=\"1207\">\u00edndice h elevado<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1210\" data-end=\"1233\">m\u00e1s de 15.000 citas<\/strong>, lo que lo sit\u00faa como referente internacional en <strong data-start=\"1283\" data-end=\"1315\">metabolismo tumoral y c\u00e1ncer<\/strong>. Entre sus trabajos m\u00e1s recientes destaca la investigaci\u00f3n sobre <strong data-start=\"1381\" data-end=\"1449\">isoenzimas de la glutaminasa en la terapia metab\u00f3lica del c\u00e1ncer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1452\" data-end=\"1702\">Participa activamente en <strong data-start=\"1477\" data-end=\"1503\">proyectos competitivos<\/strong> y colabora con grupos nacionales e internacionales en el \u00e1mbito de la <strong data-start=\"1574\" data-end=\"1597\">oncolog\u00eda molecular<\/strong>.
