Su actividad investigadora se centra en la <strong data-start=\"896\" data-end=\"938\">seguridad hep\u00e1tica de los medicamentos<\/strong>, las enfermedades hep\u00e1ticas y el desarrollo de estrategias diagn\u00f3sticas y terap\u00e9uticas innovadoras.<\/h4>\n<p data-start=\"1040\" data-end=\"1475\">Cuenta con una producci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica de primer nivel. Ha publicado <strong data-start=\"1107\" data-end=\"1143\">m\u00e1s de 300 art\u00edculos cient\u00edficos<\/strong> en revistas indexadas y revisadas por pares y <strong data-start=\"1190\" data-end=\"1215\">43 cap\u00edtulos de libro<\/strong>. Presenta un <strong data-start=\"1229\" data-end=\"1247\">\u00edndice h de 64<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1250\" data-end=\"1273\">m\u00e1s de 17.200 citas<\/strong>. Treinta y cinco de sus publicaciones han sido citadas m\u00e1s de 100 veces y 72 han superado las 50 citas. Ha participado como ponente en <strong data-start=\"1409\" data-end=\"1445\">m\u00e1s de 150 reuniones cient\u00edficas<\/strong> nacionales e internacionales.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1477\" data-end=\"1776\">Adem\u00e1s, ha trabajado como Investigador Principal de <strong data-start=\"1511\" data-end=\"1547\">m\u00e1s de 30 proyectos competitivos<\/strong> nacionales e internacionales y de <strong data-start=\"1582\" data-end=\"1612\">m\u00e1s de 20 ensayos cl\u00ednicos<\/strong> solo en los \u00faltimos cinco a\u00f1os. De esta forma, ha contribuido de manera decisiva al avance del conocimiento en hepatolog\u00eda cl\u00ednica y farmacolog\u00eda aplicada.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1778\" data-end=\"2260\">Desempe\u00f1a un papel destacado en el \u00e1mbito editorial. Es <strong data-start=\"1834\" data-end=\"1894\">Editor Asociado de la revista <em data-start=\"1866\" data-end=\"1887\">Liver International<\/em> (Q1)<\/strong> y tambi\u00e9n lo fue del comit\u00e9 editorial de <em data-start=\"1937\" data-end=\"1949\">Hepatology<\/em> (D1), <em data-start=\"1956\" data-end=\"1979\">Journal of Hepatology<\/em> (D1) y <em data-start=\"1987\" data-end=\"2014\">Frontiers in Pharmacology<\/em> (Q1).
