Javier Garc\u00eda Orza es coinvestigador responsable del grupo emergente de IBIMA BIONAND HandResearchTeam<\/a> FE-17<\/h4>\n

Javier Garc\u00eda-Orza<\/strong> es Profesor Titular del Departamento de Psicolog\u00eda B\u00e1sica de la Universidad de M\u00e1laga<\/strong>. En la Universidad de M\u00e1laga ha fundado y dirige el Laboratorio de Cognici\u00f3n Num\u00e9rica<\/strong>. Desde all\u00ed desarrolla una intensa actividad investigadora orientada a comprender los mecanismos cognitivos implicados en el procesamiento num\u00e9rico y su relaci\u00f3n con diferentes funciones perceptivas, motoras y funcionales. Su trayectoria combina investigaci\u00f3n b\u00e1sica y aplicada, con un claro enfoque traslacional.<\/p>\n

Ha dirigido diversos proyectos de I+D financiados por el Ministerio de Econom\u00eda e Investigaci\u00f3n. La mayor\u00eda<\/strong>\u00a0centrados en el estudio de las alteraciones del procesamiento num\u00e9rico y sus implicaciones funcionales, cl\u00ednicas y rehabilitadoras. Es autor de m\u00e1s de 20 publicaciones en revistas internacionales. As\u00ed, a<\/strong>cumula 61 publicaciones cient\u00edficas<\/strong>, m\u00e1s de 27.000 lecturas<\/strong> and cerca de 700 citas<\/strong>, lo que refleja el impacto y la proyecci\u00f3n internacional de su trabajo en el \u00e1mbito de la psicolog\u00eda cognitiva y la investigaci\u00f3n interdisciplinar en salud.<\/p>\n

Dentro del grupo HandResearchTeam<\/strong>, Javier Garc\u00eda-Orza participa activamente en l\u00edneas de investigaci\u00f3n centradas en la aplicaci\u00f3n de nuevas tecnolog\u00edas y tratamientos innovadores en las lesiones de la mano<\/strong>, el desarrollo de nuevos abordajes conservadores y postquir\u00fargicos<\/strong>, etc. Asimismo, investiga la influencia de las lesiones traum\u00e1ticas, neurol\u00f3gicas y reum\u00e1ticas en las actividades de la vida diaria. Adem\u00e1s de las bases biomec\u00e1nicas y anat\u00f3micas de la patolog\u00eda de la mano y la efectividad del uso de ortesis para la mejora funcional objetiva.<\/p>\n
