Es Director del Departamento de Farmacolog\u00eda y Pediatr\u00eda de la Facultad de Medicina. Coordina el grupo de investigaci\u00f3n cardiovascular <strong data-start=\"862\" data-end=\"879\">PAIDI CTS-655<\/strong>, integrado en IBIMA.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1072\" data-end=\"1572\">Su producci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica incluye <strong data-start=\"1105\" data-end=\"1138\">86 art\u00edculos indexados en JCR<\/strong>, con <strong data-start=\"1144\" data-end=\"1170\">25 publicaciones en Q1<\/strong> en los \u00faltimos diez a\u00f1os, y <strong data-start=\"1199\" data-end=\"1221\">180 comunicaciones<\/strong> a congresos nacionales e internacionales. Sus trabajos han recibido <strong data-start=\"1290\" data-end=\"1303\">820 citas<\/strong>, con un <strong data-start=\"1312\" data-end=\"1330\">\u00edndice h de 26<\/strong>. Ha dirigido <strong data-start=\"1344\" data-end=\"1367\">58 tesis doctorales<\/strong>, 30 de ellas en la \u00faltima d\u00e9cada. Su actividad investigadora ha sido reconocida con <strong data-start=\"1452\" data-end=\"1487\">cinco sexenios de investigaci\u00f3n<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1490\" data-end=\"1521\">un sexenio de transferencia<\/strong> por la Comisi\u00f3n Nacional de Evaluaci\u00f3n Cient\u00edfica.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1574\" data-end=\"1892\">Su investigaci\u00f3n se centra en el estudio de la <strong data-start=\"1621\" data-end=\"1684\">interacci\u00f3n entre estr\u00e9s oxidativo, trombosis e inflamaci\u00f3n<\/strong> en procesos isqu\u00e9micos, con especial relevancia en <strong data-start=\"1736\" data-end=\"1763\">cerebro, ri\u00f1\u00f3n y retina<\/strong>.
