Es Doctor en Biociencias Moleculares por la <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Madrid<\/span><\/span> y Licenciado en Biolog\u00eda por la Universidad de M\u00e1laga.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"901\" data-end=\"1366\">Cuenta con una s\u00f3lida trayectoria internacional en <strong data-start=\"952\" data-end=\"979\">virolog\u00eda e inmunolog\u00eda<\/strong>, con estancias postdoctorales prolongadas en <strong data-start=\"1025\" data-end=\"1066\"><span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">King\u2019s College London. All\u00ed<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0fue EMBO Long-Term Fellow y Research Fellow. Su investigaci\u00f3n se centra en los <strong data-start=\"1153\" data-end=\"1209\">mecanismos moleculares de la respuesta inmune innata<\/strong> frente a virus de relevancia biom\u00e9dica, incluyendo <strong data-start=\"1261\" data-end=\"1275\">SARS-CoV-2<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1277\" data-end=\"1286\">VIH-1<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1289\" data-end=\"1310\">virus de la gripe<\/strong>, as\u00ed como en los procesos de <strong data-start=\"1340\" data-end=\"1365\">inmunopatolog\u00eda viral<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1368\" data-end=\"1832\">Ha publicado <strong data-start=\"1381\" data-end=\"1416\">m\u00e1s de 30 art\u00edculos cient\u00edficos<\/strong> revisados por pares en revistas internacionales de alto impacto, con contribuciones destacadas en <em data-start=\"1515\" data-end=\"1523\">Nature<\/em>, <em data-start=\"1525\" data-end=\"1546\">Nature Microbiology<\/em>, <em data-start=\"1548\" data-end=\"1558\">Immunity<\/em>, <em data-start=\"1560\" data-end=\"1579\">Molecular Therapy<\/em> and <em data-start=\"1582\" data-end=\"1598\">PLoS Pathogens<\/em>. Presenta un <strong data-start=\"1612\" data-end=\"1630\">\u00edndice h de 19<\/strong> (Scopus) y m\u00e1s de <strong data-start=\"1649\" data-end=\"1664\">3.700 citas<\/strong> acumuladas. Ha sido <strong data-start=\"1685\" data-end=\"1704\">Editor Asociado<\/strong> de <em data-start=\"1708\" data-end=\"1718\">Vaccines<\/em> and <em data-start=\"1721\" data-end=\"1748\">Frontiers in Microbiology<\/em> y es miembro del <strong data-start=\"1766\" data-end=\"1795\">Editorial Board de <em data-start=\"1787\" data-end=\"1793\">mBio<\/em><\/strong> (American Society for Microbiology).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1834\" data-end=\"2241\">Desde 2023 lidera su propio grupo de investigaci\u00f3n en M\u00e1laga. Ha obtenido financiaci\u00f3n competitiva como Investigador Principal en <strong data-start=\"1964\" data-end=\"2016\">m\u00faltiples proyectos nacionales e internacionales<\/strong>, superando los <strong data-start=\"2032\" data-end=\"2055\">3 millones de euros<\/strong>, incluyendo convocatorias del Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovaci\u00f3n, el Instituto de Salud Carlos III y programas europeos.
