Gabriel Olveira Fuster<\/strong> es Profesor Titular de Universidad en la Universidad de M\u00e1laga, acreditado como Catedr\u00e1tico de Universidad, y Jefe de la Unidad de Endocrinolog\u00eda y Nutrici\u00f3n del Hospital Regional Universitario de M\u00e1laga. Es coordinador del grupo de investigaci\u00f3n consolidado de Endocrinolog\u00eda y Nutrici\u00f3n, Diabetes y Obesidad del Instituto de Investigaci\u00f3n Biom\u00e9dica de M\u00e1laga\/Plataforma BIONAND, y miembro del Centro de Investigaci\u00f3n Biom\u00e9dica en Red de Diabetes y Enfermedades Metab\u00f3licas Asociadas (CIBERDEM).<\/h3>\n

Cuenta con una amplia experiencia en investigaci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica y traslacional en Nutrici\u00f3n Cl\u00ednica, Diabetes y Metabolismo. Ha obtenido financiaci\u00f3n en 63 convocatorias competitivas, 24 de ellas como Investigador Principal, y ha sido investigador responsable de contratos nacionales de formaci\u00f3n e investigaci\u00f3n (FPU, I-PFIS, R\u00edo Hortega y contratos posdoctorales). Coordina una l\u00ednea de investigaci\u00f3n centrada en la desnutrici\u00f3n relacionada con la enfermedad en patolog\u00edas cr\u00f3nicas y diabetes, siendo un referente internacional en la aplicaci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica de la valoraci\u00f3n morfofuncional. Ha coordinado 12 ensayos cl\u00ednicos independientes en nutrici\u00f3n y metabolismo y ha desarrollado 30 acuerdos de colaboraci\u00f3n con la industria, participando adem\u00e1s en proyectos competitivos vinculados a empresa (RETOS, FEDER INTERCONECTA y CDTI).<\/p>\n

En cuanto a producci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica, ha publicado 178 art\u00edculos indexados en JCR, es autor de 15 gu\u00edas de pr\u00e1ctica cl\u00ednica y documentos de consenso, y ha generado seis registros de propiedad intelectual. Ha dirigido 13 tesis doctorales y m\u00e1s de 30 trabajos fin de grado y m\u00e1ster. Es coordinador del Manual de Nutrici\u00f3n Cl\u00ednica y Diet\u00e9tica<\/em> (4.\u00aa edici\u00f3n) y autor de numerosos cap\u00edtulos de libro y obras divulgativas. Ha recibido m\u00e1s de 30 premios a las mejores comunicaciones cient\u00edficas y diversas distinciones por su trayectoria cient\u00edfica y profesional, otorgadas por sociedades cient\u00edficas nacionales y plataformas de investigaci\u00f3n biom\u00e9dica.<\/p>\n
