Ha dirigido o codirigido <strong data-start=\"968\" data-end=\"991\">10 tesis doctorales<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"994\" data-end=\"1425\">Su investigaci\u00f3n se centra en la <strong data-start=\"1027\" data-end=\"1047\">arteriosclerosis<\/strong>, la <strong data-start=\"1052\" data-end=\"1075\">prevenci\u00f3n vascular<\/strong>, el <strong data-start=\"1080\" data-end=\"1104\">metabolismo lip\u00eddico<\/strong> y su relaci\u00f3n con <strong data-start=\"1123\" data-end=\"1152\">enfermedades neurol\u00f3gicas<\/strong>. Ha contribuido de forma destacada al conocimiento de la <strong data-start=\"1210\" data-end=\"1244\">gen\u00e9tica de la trigliceridemia<\/strong>, la <strong data-start=\"1249\" data-end=\"1290\">fisiopatolog\u00eda de la arteriosclerosis<\/strong>, el <strong data-start=\"1295\" data-end=\"1335\">s\u00edndrome de quilomicronemia familiar<\/strong> y el <strong data-start=\"1341\" data-end=\"1367\">pseudoxantoma el\u00e1stico. Todo ello c<\/strong>on resultados que han dado lugar a <strong data-start=\"1405\" data-end=\"1424\">cuatro patentes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1427\" data-end=\"1736\">En el \u00e1mbito asistencial, es Facultativo Especialista en Medicina Interna y responsable de la <strong data-start=\"1521\" data-end=\"1554\">Unidad de HTA-Riesgo Vascular<\/strong> y de la <strong data-start=\"1563\" data-end=\"1584\">Unidad de L\u00edpidos<\/strong> del Hospital Cl\u00ednico Universitario Virgen de la Victoria. Ha sido <strong data-start=\"1651\" data-end=\"1674\">tutor de residentes<\/strong> y cuenta con formaci\u00f3n en <strong data-start=\"1701\" data-end=\"1735\">Direcci\u00f3n de Unidades Cl\u00ednicas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1738\" data-end=\"2161\">Desarrolla adem\u00e1s una intensa actividad en <strong data-start=\"1781\" data-end=\"1836\">medicina del trabajo y salud cardiovascular laboral<\/strong>.
