{"id":48235,"date":"2024-08-05T07:10:04","date_gmt":"2024-08-05T07:10:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ibima.eu\/elisa-matas-rico\/"},"modified":"2026-01-05T11:32:38","modified_gmt":"2026-01-05T11:32:38","slug":"elisa-matas-rico","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ibima.eu\/es\/elisa-matas-rico\/","title":{"rendered":"ELISA MATAS  RICO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Perfil investigador\/a: R4<\/p>\n<h4 data-start=\"291\" data-end=\"547\"><strong data-start=\"291\" data-end=\"332\"><span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Elisa Matas Rico<\/span><\/span><\/strong> es Co-Investigadora Responsable del grupo <strong data-start=\"375\" data-end=\"449\">B-11 \u201cGrupo de Investigaci\u00f3n Traslacional en Oncolog\u00eda Genitourinaria\u201d<\/strong> del Instituto de Investigaci\u00f3n Biom\u00e9dica de M\u00e1laga \u2013 IBIMA<br data-start=\"508\" data-end=\"511\" \/>(<a class=\"decorated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/ibima.eu\/es\/project\/b-11\/\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"512\" data-end=\"545\">https:\/\/ibima.eu\/es\/project\/b-11\/<\/a>).<\/h4>\n<p data-start=\"549\" data-end=\"876\">Sus l\u00edneas de investigaci\u00f3n se centran en el estudio de <strong data-start=\"605\" data-end=\"637\">v\u00edas de se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n celular<\/strong> y su impacto en la <strong data-start=\"657\" data-end=\"679\">progresi\u00f3n tumoral<\/strong>, con especial inter\u00e9s en la se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n <strong data-start=\"721\" data-end=\"732\">ATX\/LPA<\/strong> y su aplicaci\u00f3n en inmunoterapia del c\u00e1ncer. Combina investigaci\u00f3n b\u00e1sica y traslacional con un claro enfoque hacia nuevas dianas terap\u00e9uticas.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"878\" data-end=\"1204\">Inici\u00f3 su carrera cient\u00edfica en el Departamento de Biolog\u00eda Celular de la <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Universidad de M\u00e1laga<\/span><\/span>, donde estudi\u00f3 el desarrollo cortical del cerebro de rat\u00f3n. En 2004 obtuvo un contrato predoctoral FIMABIS para investigar el papel del receptor <strong data-start=\"1135\" data-end=\"1143\">LPA1<\/strong> en la neurog\u00e9nesis embrionaria y adulta. Se doctor\u00f3 en 2009.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1206\" data-end=\"1536\">Posteriormente se incorpor\u00f3 a la Unidad Cl\u00ednica de Neurolog\u00eda, donde analiz\u00f3 el papel del receptor LPA1 en <strong data-start=\"1313\" data-end=\"1346\">enfermedades desmielinizantes<\/strong>. Sus trabajos demostraron por primera vez el papel in vivo de LPA1 en el sistema nervioso central como regulador de la neurog\u00e9nesis y la mielinizaci\u00f3n, con relevancia cl\u00ednica y terap\u00e9utica.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1538\" data-end=\"1993\">Tras esta etapa, realiz\u00f3 una estancia postdoctoral en el <strong data-start=\"1595\" data-end=\"1636\"><span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Netherlands Cancer Institute<\/span><\/span><\/strong> (\u00c1msterdam), donde ampli\u00f3 su investigaci\u00f3n en se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n LPA y c\u00e1ncer. Identific\u00f3 un nuevo mecanismo de <strong data-start=\"1743\" data-end=\"1800\">quimiorrepulsi\u00f3n tumoral mediado por el receptor LPA5<\/strong>, con potencial terap\u00e9utico en c\u00e1ncer. Inici\u00f3 adem\u00e1s una l\u00ednea innovadora sobre las <strong data-start=\"1884\" data-end=\"1900\">enzimas GDEs<\/strong> como reguladores clave de la progresi\u00f3n tumoral, con resultados publicados en <em data-start=\"1979\" data-end=\"1992\">Cancer Cell<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1995\" data-end=\"2357\">En los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, su investigaci\u00f3n se ha centrado en la <strong data-start=\"2054\" data-end=\"2068\">autotaxina<\/strong> como regulador de la inmunolog\u00eda tumoral y posible diana terap\u00e9utica en inmunoterapia. Ha participado en <strong data-start=\"2174\" data-end=\"2214\">m\u00e1s de 15 proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n<\/strong>, incluidos proyectos nacionales y europeos. Ha publicado en revistas de alto impacto y presentado sus resultados en congresos internacionales.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2359\" data-end=\"2757\">Mantiene colaboraciones cient\u00edficas con instituciones internacionales como la Universidad de Leiden, el Academic Medical Center, el Netherlands Cancer Institute y universidades estadounidenses como la Universidad de Kentucky y la Universidad Johns Hopkins. Colabora adem\u00e1s con la empresa biotecnol\u00f3gica <strong data-start=\"2662\" data-end=\"2674\">iOnctura<\/strong> (Ginebra, Suiza), reforzando la transferencia de resultados al \u00e1mbito terap\u00e9utico.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2759\" data-end=\"3061\">En 2021 obtuvo una <strong data-start=\"2778\" data-end=\"2800\">beca Ram\u00f3n y Cajal<\/strong> y se incorpor\u00f3 al Departamento de Fisiolog\u00eda de la Universidad de M\u00e1laga.
