Ha dedicado m\u00e1s 15 a\u00f1os a tiempo completo como PDI en la Universidad de Ja\u00e9n y M\u00e1laga. Adem\u00e1s de 12 a\u00f1os en la Universidad Tecnol\u00f3gica de Queensland (Australia). Cuenta con m\u00e1s de 250 aportaciones en revistas JCR. Ha co-dirigido 31 tesis doctorales y 80 trabajos fin de m\u00e1ster en los \u00faltimos 10 a\u00f1os, liderando el grupo de investigaci\u00f3n Clinimetr\u00eda del Instituto. Adem\u00e1s, forma parte de la Red de Investigaci\u00f3n en Actividades Preventivas y Promoci\u00f3n de la Salud (REDIAPP), financiada por el ISCIII desde 2007 hasta 2020, y es investigador principal del proyecto FUNNEL+, financiado por ISCII y el proyecto iGAME, financiado por el programa Horizon2020 de la Uni\u00f3n Europea.<\/p>\nEn su faceta docente, ha mostrado una alta implicaci\u00f3n en los \u00faltimos 10 a\u00f1os, completando un total de 2550 horas de docencia en grado y 2590 horas en posgrado. Ha sido galardonado con el premio Educa-Abanca al mejor docente de Espa\u00f1a en la categor\u00eda de universidad (todas las \u00e1reas, ranking 4\u00ba) y es editor en jefe de la revista\u00a0BMC Sports Science, Medicine and Rehabilitation<\/em>.<\/p>\nActualmente est\u00e1 orientado a la investigaci\u00f3n, desarrollo y transferencia de aspectos cl\u00ednicos relacionados con el movimiento humano a trav\u00e9s de la Ciencia de los Datos. Desde la validaci\u00f3n de \u00edndices, hasta la implementaci\u00f3n de cuadros de mando para decisiones cl\u00ednicas, pasando por la transferencia de programas de ejercicio terap\u00e9utico que provoquen alto impacto en las afecciones cr\u00f3nicas. Para ello, integramos la m\u00e1s avanzada metodolog\u00eda cient\u00edfica sobre biomec\u00e1nica, fisiolog\u00eda, psicometr\u00eda y epidemiolog\u00eda de la fisioterapia.<\/p>\n
