Tras una etapa de <strong data-start=\"603\" data-end=\"653\">especializaci\u00f3n postdoctoral en Estados Unidos<\/strong>, se reincorpor\u00f3 a la Universidad de M\u00e1laga mediante un <strong data-start=\"709\" data-end=\"778\">Contrato de Reincorporaci\u00f3n del Ministerio de Educaci\u00f3n y Ciencia<\/strong>. Desde 2011 es <strong data-start=\"794\" data-end=\"829\">Catedr\u00e1tica de Biolog\u00eda Celular<\/strong>.<\/h4>\n<p data-start=\"832\" data-end=\"1073\">Su trayectoria investigadora est\u00e1 <strong data-start=\"866\" data-end=\"907\">\u00edntegramente centrada en neurociencia<\/strong>, envejecimiento y <strong data-start=\"926\" data-end=\"947\">neurodegeneraci\u00f3n<\/strong>, con especial dedicaci\u00f3n a la <strong data-start=\"978\" data-end=\"1005\">enfermedad de Alzheimer<\/strong>. Desde 2003 dirige un grupo de investigaci\u00f3n biom\u00e9dica orientado a:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1074\" data-end=\"1298\">\n<li data-start=\"1074\" data-end=\"1158\">\n<p data-start=\"1076\" data-end=\"1158\">El estudio de los <strong data-start=\"1094\" data-end=\"1132\">mecanismos moleculares y celulares<\/strong> de la neurodegeneraci\u00f3n<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1159\" data-end=\"1232\">\n<p data-start=\"1161\" data-end=\"1232\">La <strong data-start=\"1164\" data-end=\"1199\">identificaci\u00f3n de biomarcadores<\/strong> de progresi\u00f3n de la enfermedad<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1233\" data-end=\"1298\">\n<p data-start=\"1235\" data-end=\"1298\">La <strong data-start=\"1238\" data-end=\"1298\">evaluaci\u00f3n precl\u00ednica de nuevas estrategias terap\u00e9uticas<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1300\" data-end=\"1701\">Desde 2007 es <strong data-start=\"1314\" data-end=\"1383\">Investigadora Principal del <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">CIBERNED<\/span><\/span><\/strong> (Centro de Investigaci\u00f3n Biom\u00e9dica en Red sobre Enfermedades Neurodegenerativas), perteneciente al <strong data-start=\"1483\" data-end=\"1524\"><span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Instituto de Salud Carlos III<\/span><\/span><\/strong> y reconocido como <strong data-start=\"1543\" data-end=\"1567\">Centro de Excelencia<\/strong> dentro de la Red Internacional CoEN de la Uni\u00f3n Europea. Su grupo forma parte del <strong data-start=\"1650\" data-end=\"1700\">Programa de Alzheimer y demencias relacionadas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1703\" data-end=\"1897\">Es tambi\u00e9n Investigadora Responsable del grupo <strong data-start=\"1750\" data-end=\"1771\">NEUROAD (CTS-950)<\/strong> del <strong data-start=\"1776\" data-end=\"1809\">Plan Andaluz de Investigaci\u00f3n<\/strong>, actualmente integrado en IBIMA como grupo consolidado del <strong data-start=\"1869\" data-end=\"1896\">\u00c1rea 3 de Neurociencias<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1899\" data-end=\"2409\">Cuenta con una <strong data-start=\"1914\" data-end=\"1949\">amplia proyecci\u00f3n internacional<\/strong>. Es miembro de <strong data-start=\"1965\" data-end=\"1976\">ISTAART<\/strong> (Alzheimer Association), <strong data-start=\"2002\" data-end=\"2036\">Society for Neuroscience (SFN)<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2038\" data-end=\"2046\">FENS<\/strong> y la <strong data-start=\"2052\" data-end=\"2089\">Sociedad Espa\u00f1ola de Neurociencia<\/strong>. Act\u00faa como <strong data-start=\"2102\" data-end=\"2125\">revisora cient\u00edfica<\/strong> para numerosas revistas internacionales y como <strong data-start=\"2173\" data-end=\"2195\">evaluadora experta<\/strong> para organismos financiadores nacionales e internacionales, incluyendo la <strong data-start=\"2270\" data-end=\"2305\">Alzheimer Association (EE.
