Perfil investigador\/a: R4<\/p>\n\n\n

Isabel Leiva Gea es Investigadora Responsable del grupo A-19 \u201cGrupo Multidisciplinar de Investigaci\u00f3n Pedi\u00e1trica\u201d del Instituto de Investigaci\u00f3n Biom\u00e9dica de M\u00e1laga \u2013 IBIMA
(https:\/\/ibima.eu\/es\/project\/a-19\/<\/a>). Es m\u00e9dica especialista en Endocrinolog\u00eda Pedi\u00e1trica y desarrolla su actividad asistencial en el Hospital Regional Universitario de M\u00e1laga.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Es Licenciada en Medicina por la Universidad de Granada. Ha realizado formaci\u00f3n de Doctorado, incluyendo una tesina centrada en la relaci\u00f3n genotipo-fenotipo en la Hiperplasia Suprarrenal Cong\u00e9nita<\/strong>, patolog\u00eda en la que est\u00e1 especialmente especializada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Su trayectoria profesional le ha proporcionado una amplia experiencia cl\u00ednica en pediatr\u00eda. Entre 2007 y 2010 estuvo al frente de la Unidad de Endocrinolog\u00eda Pedi\u00e1trica del hospital de Ja\u00e9n, con actividad asistencial en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Pedi\u00e1tricos. Durante este periodo fue tambi\u00e9n tutora de residentes de Pediatr\u00eda. Posteriormente ejerci\u00f3 como pediatra en el Hospital Costa del Sol. Ha participado en m\u00faltiples actividades formativas y de investigaci\u00f3n. Destaca su participaci\u00f3n en un ensayo cl\u00ednico fase III del f\u00e1rmaco MEDI-524<\/strong>. Ha colaborado como pediatra en el hospital for Mother and Child de Calcuta (India) en programas de despistaje de malnutrici\u00f3n infantil. Asimismo, ha trabajado en turnos asistenciales en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos del Hope Children\u2019s Hospital de Chicago (Estados Unidos).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cuenta con acreditaci\u00f3n como instructora en Reanimaci\u00f3n Cardiopulmonar Pedi\u00e1trica y Neonatal Avanzada<\/strong> por la Fundaci\u00f3n IAVANTE. Su producci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica incluye publicaciones en revistas nacionales e internacionales, con especial atenci\u00f3n a patolog\u00edas pedi\u00e1tricas complejas como el s\u00edndrome de Prader-Willi<\/strong> y la enfermedad de Alexander infantil<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ha participado adem\u00e1s como autora en cap\u00edtulos de libros de referencia en pediatr\u00eda, entre ellos \u201cEstabilizaci\u00f3n y Transporte de Cr\u00edticos Pedi\u00e1tricos y Neonatales\u201d<\/em>, con el cap\u00edtulo dedicado a la estabilizaci\u00f3n neonatal previa al transporte, y el \u201cTratado de Pediatr\u00eda Cuz\u201d<\/em>, con un cap\u00edtulo sobre hipoaldosteronismo primario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
