Responsable cient\u00edfico de la ECAI de Prote\u00f3mica desde el a\u00f1o 2007. Realiz\u00f3 una estancia postdoctoral de dos a\u00f1os en la Universidad de Missouri-Kansas City.<\/p>\n<p>Ha sido profesor visitante en la Universidad de Brandeis, en Boston, Estados Unidos, en Harvard Medical School en Cambridge, Estados Unidos. As\u00ed como en la Universidad M\u00e9dica de Viena en Austria. Autor de m\u00e1s de 110 publicaciones cient\u00edficas en revistas internacionales con revisi\u00f3n por pares e indexadas. Cuenta con un n\u00famero total de citas superior a 5200 y un \u00edndice h de 41, e Investigador Principal de m\u00e1s de 25 proyectos competitivos p\u00fablicos nacionales y europeos.<\/p>\n<p>Otros indicadores generales de la calidad de su producci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica. En concreto, 6 sexenios activos de investigaci\u00f3n, ininterrumpidamente desde 1984, 1 sexenio de transferencia y 14 Tesis doctorales dirigidas. Tambi\u00e9n es miembro de los Comit\u00e9s Editoriales de las revistas Frontiers in Molecular Neuroscience y CANCERS.<\/p>\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n ha impartido clases en asignaturas del \u00e1rea de Bioqu\u00edmica y Biolog\u00eda Molecular en la Facultad de Ciencias de la UMA en las Licenciaturas y Grados de Biolog\u00eda, Ciencias Ambientales, Qu\u00edmica y Bioqu\u00edmica. As\u00ed mismo, ha participado en numerosos Programas de Doctorado de la UMA y de la Universidad Internacional de Andaluc\u00eda UNIA. Actualmente, es Coordinador de una asignatura en el M\u00e1ster de Biotecnolog\u00eda Avanzada de la UMA.<\/p>\n<p>Ha sido miembro del panel de evaluaci\u00f3n de los contratos postdoctorales Ram\u00f3n y Cajal en Biomedicina, vocal evaluador de Proyectos y Ayudas a la investigaci\u00f3n en el Panel de Ciencias de la Vida de la Junta de Andaluc\u00eda.
