Ha desarrollado una s\u00f3lida trayectoria como Investigador Principal en ensayos cl\u00ednicos y proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica y traslacional en estas \u00e1reas.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"823\" data-end=\"1197\">Adem\u00e1s, cuenta con una extensa experiencia en gesti\u00f3n cl\u00ednica y asistencial. Ha sido Director del \u00c1rea de Oncolog\u00eda y Hematolog\u00eda del <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Hospital Costa del Sol<\/span><\/span> durante once a\u00f1os. Desde 2018 ha sido Jefe del Servicio de Oncolog\u00eda M\u00e9dica del <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Hospital Regional Universitario de M\u00e1laga<\/span><\/span>. Tambi\u00e9n ha desempe\u00f1ado tambi\u00e9n funciones como Director de Investigaci\u00f3n del Hospital Costa del Sol.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1199\" data-end=\"1728\">Su actividad investigadora se centra en el desarrollo de <strong data-start=\"1256\" data-end=\"1312\">tratamientos oncol\u00f3gicos basados en la inmunoterapia<\/strong>. Ha liderado ensayos cl\u00ednicos que eval\u00faan distintas estrategias inmunoterap\u00e9uticas, especialmente en c\u00e1ncer de cabeza y cuello y linfomas. Entre ellas destacan la inmunoterapia celular (TILs), los anticuerpos biespec\u00edficos, los f\u00e1rmacos inmunomoduladores, las vacunas terap\u00e9uticas y las combinaciones de anti-PD-1\/PD-L1 con otras estrategias como quimioterapia, radioterapia, antiangiog\u00e9nicos o inhibidores de CD47.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1730\" data-end=\"2015\">En el \u00e1mbito cient\u00edfico, es Vicepresidente y miembro del Comit\u00e9 Cient\u00edfico del <strong data-start=\"1809\" data-end=\"1850\"><span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Grupo Espa\u00f1ol de Tratamiento de Tumores de Cabeza y Cuello<\/span><\/span><\/strong> y del <strong data-start=\"1857\" data-end=\"1898\"><span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Grupo Espa\u00f1ol de Estudio de Linfomas<\/span><\/span><\/strong>.
