Desarrolla su actividad asistencial e investigadora en el <strong data-start=\"614\" data-end=\"671\">Hospital Universitario Virgen de la Victoria (M\u00e1laga)<\/strong> y en el <strong data-start=\"680\" data-end=\"738\">Instituto de Investigaci\u00f3n Biom\u00e9dica de M\u00e1laga (IBIMA)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"741\" data-end=\"1133\">Su labor investigadora se centra en la <strong data-start=\"780\" data-end=\"801\">infecci\u00f3n por VIH<\/strong>, las <strong data-start=\"807\" data-end=\"837\">infecciones endovasculares<\/strong>, las <strong data-start=\"843\" data-end=\"859\">bacteriemias<\/strong> y la <strong data-start=\"865\" data-end=\"899\">microbiolog\u00eda cl\u00ednica aplicada<\/strong>, con clara orientaci\u00f3n a la pr\u00e1ctica cl\u00ednica y a la mejora de los resultados en salud. Ha participado en estudios cl\u00ednicos y proyectos relacionados con el diagn\u00f3stico, tratamiento y seguimiento de pacientes con infecciones complejas.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1135\" data-end=\"1428\">Cuenta con una trayectoria consolidada en <strong data-start=\"1177\" data-end=\"1215\">docencia universitaria en Medicina<\/strong>, impartiendo asignaturas como <strong data-start=\"1246\" data-end=\"1290\">Microbiolog\u00eda y Enfermedades Infecciosas<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1292\" data-end=\"1312\">Patolog\u00eda M\u00e9dica<\/strong> y <strong data-start=\"1315\" data-end=\"1361\">Rotatorio de Atenci\u00f3n Primaria y Urgencias<\/strong>, as\u00ed como tutorizaci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica continuada en entorno hospitalario.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1430\" data-end=\"1745\">Es autor de <strong data-start=\"1442\" data-end=\"1477\">m\u00e1s de 20 art\u00edculos cient\u00edficos<\/strong>, colaborador en obras colectivas y <strong data-start=\"1513\" data-end=\"1545\">director de tesis doctorales<\/strong>, contribuyendo activamente a la formaci\u00f3n de nuevos investigadores y profesionales sanitarios.
