Es <strong data-start=\"611\" data-end=\"646\">Profesor Titular de Universidad<\/strong> del \u00c1rea de Medicina Legal y Forense de la UMA y <strong data-start=\"696\" data-end=\"744\">responsable del Laboratorio de Investigaci\u00f3n<\/strong> del <strong data-start=\"749\" data-end=\"790\"><span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Hospital Regional Universitario de M\u00e1laga<\/span><\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"793\" data-end=\"1030\">Ha desempe\u00f1ado responsabilidades de <strong data-start=\"829\" data-end=\"851\">gesti\u00f3n cient\u00edfica<\/strong> en IBIMA como <strong data-start=\"866\" data-end=\"900\">coordinador adjunto del \u00c1rea 3<\/strong> (Neurociencias, Cronicidad, Envejecimiento y Salud en Poblaciones Vulnerables) y <strong data-start=\"982\" data-end=\"1015\">miembro del comit\u00e9 cient\u00edfico<\/strong> del Instituto.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1032\" data-end=\"1435\">Su <strong data-start=\"1035\" data-end=\"1071\">l\u00ednea principal de investigaci\u00f3n<\/strong> se centra en la <strong data-start=\"1088\" data-end=\"1130\">toxicidad inducida por drogas de abuso<\/strong> como <strong data-start=\"1136\" data-end=\"1183\">factor de riesgo neurol\u00f3gico y psiqui\u00e1trico<\/strong>. Trabaja en el desarrollo de <strong data-start=\"1213\" data-end=\"1239\">modelos experimentales<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1241\" data-end=\"1264\">sistemas biol\u00f3gicos<\/strong> y <strong data-start=\"1267\" data-end=\"1284\">biomarcadores<\/strong> para caracterizar el inicio, la progresi\u00f3n, la comorbilidad y la mortalidad asociadas a <strong data-start=\"1373\" data-end=\"1397\">neuropsicopatolog\u00edas<\/strong> relacionadas con sustancias de abuso.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1437\" data-end=\"1851\">Cuenta con una <strong data-start=\"1452\" data-end=\"1502\">amplia trayectoria internacional y competitiva<\/strong>. Ha participado en <strong data-start=\"1522\" data-end=\"1545\">consorcios europeos<\/strong> (FP7, ERA4HEALTH y Acciones COST), <strong data-start=\"1581\" data-end=\"1604\">programas Fulbright<\/strong>, financiaci\u00f3n nacional del <strong data-start=\"1632\" data-end=\"1665\">Instituto de Salud Carlos III<\/strong> y del <strong data-start=\"1672\" data-end=\"1702\">Plan Nacional sobre Drogas<\/strong>, as\u00ed como proyectos auton\u00f3micos.
