TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER
Amongst the Institute's objectives are the promotion of biomedical research and the transfer of results to society in the form of advancements in knowledge, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases that affect citizens’ health.
The Innovation and Technology Transfer Unit of IBIMA makes a series of specialised services related to innovation and technology transfer available to researchers. They include the valuation of technologies, the search for public and private collaborators, support for conducting technological development projects, protection of knowledge, and marketing of the results obtained.
The unit, a member of the Medical Technology Innovation Platform (ITEMAS), ), is one of the health technologies and sciences research support platforms promoted by the Carlos III Institute of Health (ISCIII) as part of the comprehensive vision for innovation.

The IBIMA Innovation Support Unit is composed of a multidisciplinary team and is aimed at making a series of specialised services available to IBIMA professionals and companies who wish to collaborate.
For Companies
Search for incentives and funding sources.
Advising on the best funding strategies in national and international public-private calls as well as access to private investors and venture capital.
Search for research groups
Identify and involve researchers interested in collaborating with the business sector on the design and execution of clinical trials, pre-clinical research projects, design, and validation of medical devices and e-health technology solutions.
Technology portfolio
View all the technology developed at IBIMA. The objective is to identify companies interested in continuing the development and marketing of the innovative technologies generated.

Research Infrastructure and Resources.
Access to different cutting-edge platforms aimed at research. This infrastructure is available to industry and research groups for the development of joint projects or for the provision of services.

Promotion of innovative ideas.
Promotion of the generation of innovative ideas and the launch of different initiatives that facilitate their development.
Knowledge Protection.
Manage the protection of knowledge generated as a result of research carried out at the Institute. We facilitate comprehensive advising on the proper protection and translation of innovative ideas and research and innovation results, defining and executing the most appropriate protection strategy.
Transfer of research results.
Promotion and management of the transfer of results generated at the Institute, continuously searching for industry partners interested in the development and marketing of the products, services, and technologies developed.
Consulting on the creation of technology-based companies.
We promote, support, and drive entrepreneurial activities and the creation of technological companies and spin-offs based on the results and technology generated by researchers. The objective is to establish a suitable environment for the activities of these companies.
