IBIMA Plataforma BIONAND se sitúa en el Málaga TechPark – Parque Tecnológico de Andalucía, junto con otros espacios dedicados a la investigación clínica en el Hospital Regional Universitario de Málaga, el Hospital Universitario Virgen de la Victoria, el Distrito Sanitario Málaga-Guadalhorce de Atención Primaria, y la Universidad de Málaga.

Our building is located in a technology park that also houses entities from the business and university sectors. It has a surface area of 6,500 square meters. The center has four floors where the research groups’ laboratories, research support services, and spaces designed for meetings and events are located.

The distribution and structure of the laboratories have been designed to create open spaces that favor interaction among professionals, promoting complementary work, collaboration, and interdisciplinary projects.

The building houses the latest technology in the biomedical research field for conducting cutting-edge, innovative research, creating synergies among the various research groups with the biotechnological business sector and the pharmaceutical industry in order to translate research into improvements to citizens’ health. The building is also designed to promote citizen participation in the Institute’s work by including them in the center’s daily activity through scientific dissemination, citizen participation, and educational opportunities for future professionals in the field.
