The Institute’s international mindset is present in the results of various actions taken by the Institute in order to situate Málaga as a top tier research destination for those coming from abroad, with numerous initiatives organized and coordinated in the province of Málaga

We conduct our work in the province of Málaga, home to more than 1.5 million people. One-third of them live in the capital, where the Regional University Hospital of Málaga, the Virgen de la Victoria University Hospital, and the University of Málaga are located. The city shares the Institute’s values, with a strong commitment to our international vision, a forward-looking spirit, and tourist attractions that bring millions of people to the city and province each year.

What’s more, Málaga has a transportation network that includes an international airport with some of the highest passenger traffic in Spain, a high-speed rail network that has been operating for more than a decade, and a port that receives a growing number of large cruise ships on national and international itineraries.
