MASTER'S DEGREE IN INTERNATIONAL HEALTH

Objectives

  • To understand the processes of health/illness/care and the role of biological, social and cultural variables in these processes, as well as the analysis of cultural representations and social practices in the field of health.

  • To apply practical and useful information systems for the generation of information for better information management, as well as to modify and improve existing systems in the world.

  • To plan, organise, execute and control the statistical processes at an operative level aimed at the adequate structuring of health indicators, to be applied in the improvement actions of the health-disease process.

  • To analyse the human development indicators used in international health systems, for their appropriate interpretation and application through strategies for the presentation and dissemination of information for decision-making.

  • To be familiar with international epidemiological surveillance systems, which will enable them to have relevant information on the main health problems and their risk factors.

  • Developing and participating in health research projects in different regions of the world, as well as in the implementation and evaluation of results.
